How to Play Layla
Quick start
Press START on the title and you will start from the first asteroid cave. First, shoot the enemies and boxes with B and collect the equipment that comes out. The cakes and soft serve ice cream dropped by enemies are used to recover your health, so be sure to collect them when you can. For high walls, press down and then press A to jump high, and if you get too much momentum, crouch down and stop. At the base, press up and down in the elevator to move. In addition to moving forward, it is also important to look for hidden items. If you want to choose a weapon calmly, press START and SELECT to open the weapon list, select with left and right, and resume with START.
Controls
Left and right: Move. Bottom: Crouch. Up and down in the elevator: going up and down. A: Jump. Press Down then A to jump high. B: Attack with current weapon. START: Start from title/pause during game. SELECT: Switch weapons during the game. Press SELECT during pause to display the weapon list, select with left and right, and resume with START. To continue playing from where you left off, press SELECT on the title and enter an 18-character keyword. Select a digit with left and right, move the character forward with A, move backward with B, and confirm with START. After that, the asteroid selection is SELECT, and the start is START.
Layla — About this game
Layla, a member of the special forces CAT, challenges eight asteroids in pursuit of her kidnapped partner Iris. The base beyond the cave is a maze with an elevator connecting the above and underground areas. In addition to defeating enemies and moving to the right, you must collect items hidden on each asteroid and prepare to destroy the final goal, the device "Jill". From the weapon box, you can get equipment with different trajectory and enemy opponents, and where to use the limited ammunition is also the key to strategy. As you go faster on roller skates, the distance you can jump will change, so be sure to know where to gain momentum and where to stop. There are scenes that you can't turn back from after scrolling and complex connections in the hierarchy, and the more you memorize the route you explore, the easier it will be to proceed. After rescuing Iris, she will also attack you, but it will consume more ammo, so don't forget to replenish it.
