How to Play Learn Chess
Quick start
Start the castle story and visit the first lesson. Move the requested piece, answer its practice question and explore another room before trying the tutor's match.
Controls
Use the stylus to explore castle points and select pieces and board squares. Follow lesson prompts for each position, confirm the intended move and use the available menus to review lessons or begin a match.
Learn Chess — About this game
Learn Chess gives the lessons a castle adventure: a ghost cannot leave to recover the chess pieces stolen by pirate Drago, so he trains you to challenge him. Visit lesson rooms, solve small board questions and explore the castle between practice sessions. Learning piece movement is only the start; a move must also keep your king safe and account for the reply. Begin with the earliest lesson and try its positions before attempting a full match against the tutor. Once ready, face the pirate to recover the set, returning to lessons when a tactic remains unclear.
