How to Play The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night
Quick start
Start the story and follow the opening combat prompts. Practice the directional swipe on a launched enemy, then tap a puzzle when standing beside it and inspect its light receivers.
Controls
Control Pad moves, B jumps, A breathes, Y attacks and X dodges. L changes element, R resets camera; SELECT pauses and START opens level upgrades. Follow touch arrows for air combos and repeat colored-circle sequences for Fury.

The Eternal Night on DS follows Spyro through three-dimensional exploration and battles, with touch tasks built into combat. Launching an enemy starts a directional swipe sequence; follow three arrows to finish it. Light puzzles ask you to align colored beams with matching receivers. Collect purple gems for Fury, then repeat the displayed sequence of colored circles to determine its duration. Begin with movement and the first melee encounter, learn one swipe sequence and check your health and breath reserves before using stronger abilities.
