How to Play The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages
Quick start
Create a new file. Help Impa in the forest, follow her to Nayru and watch the opening events. In an unlinked game Impa gives you the Wooden Sword; assign it to A or B with START. Continue to Lynna City and the Maku Tree, following the first time-travel sequence before seeking Spirit’s Grave.
Controls
D-pad: move and select items. A/B: use the items assigned to those buttons. Equip the sword or shield in the inventory before using it; hold the sword button, then release for a spin attack. START: open the item screen. SELECT: view the map. Equip the Harp of Ages to A or B to play a learned tune; its travel options expand as you learn more tunes.

Link arrives in Labrynna, where Veran has possessed Nayru and threatens the course of history. This Game Boy Color adventure turns the relationship between past and present into a puzzle: explore both eras, collect useful tools and recover the eight Essences of Time from guarded dungeons.
The Harp of Ages gradually opens new ways to travel through time. A route blocked in one era may depend on something done in the other, so revisit familiar places as your abilities grow. Sword combat, dungeon tools and careful observation all matter. Password links with Oracle of Seasons can extend the story, but this introduction assumes a fresh, unlinked game.
