How to Play Legendary Wings
Quick start
Use SELECT to choose one or two players, then press START. Move with the D-pad and fire B at flying enemies. In overhead sections, use A against ground targets. Shoot the power-up carrier, then collect the exposed P. Avoid the giant face's whirlwinds; destroy ground structures to look for a separate bonus entrance.
Controls
D-pad: move the winged soldier. B: fire guns in both vertical and horizontal sections. A: fire ground-targeting missiles in vertical sections only. START: start or pause. SELECT: choose one player, two players or Continue. Hearts provide additional continues, up to nine.
Legendary Wings — About this game
Legendary Wings on NES mixes vertically scrolling flight with horizontal palace battles. You fight airborne enemies with guns and strike ground targets with missiles during overhead sections. Collecting power-ups improves your weapons, eventually allowing the Firebird form. Hidden whirlpools can lead to useful bonus areas, while the giant face can pull you into a dangerous detour. Play alone or with a second player simultaneously, building firepower while avoiding enemies, bullets and crushing walls.
