How to Play Lego The Lord of the Rings
Quick start
Begin a new adventure and follow the opening route. Practise jumping, attack nearby enemies and use A at interactive objects or brick piles. Switch to your companion when another ability is required, and check the map or quest information before continuing.
Controls
Move with the Control Pad. B jumps; press again for a double jump. Y attacks or shoots, and holding Y aims. A builds, uses or activates objects and parries. X swaps to your buddy. Tap the character icon on the Touch Screen to open the character wheel; the screen also gives access to the map. START pauses.
Lego The Lord of the Rings — About this game
Frodo and his companions leave home on a dangerous journey to destroy the Ring at Mount Doom. The DS adventure mixes fighting, platform movement and interactions that call for different character abilities. Swap to a companion when a route needs another skill, build useful objects and use the map to keep track of the journey. Studs can be spent on secrets and magical items, while collecting enough in a level earns True Adventurer status. Characters encountered along the way also offer quests and rewards. Free Play provides further character choices for returning to the adventure.
