How to Play Lethal Weapon
Quick start
Press START at the title screen. In the opening area, practise moving up and down as well as left and right so your attacks line up with enemies. Use A to jump and B to attack; press B while airborne for a flying kick when unarmed. SELECT switches between your gun and close combat. Pick up useful objects by walking over them, and move off the left edge to change detectives when one needs a rest.
Controls
Control Pad: move left/right and into or out of the scene. A: jump. B: punch as Murtaugh, kick as Riggs, or use the current weapon; while airborne, perform a flying kick or use the weapon. SELECT: switch between gun and hand-to-hand combat. START: begin, or pause and show the inventory during play; press again to resume. Leave to the left of the screen to change detectives.
Lethal Weapon — About this game
Lethal Weapon brings the film series’ two detectives into a succession of dangerous NES encounters. Advancing is not simply a matter of firing continuously: enemies occupy different depths of the scene, so lining up attacks and choosing when to jump are important. Riggs favors kicks, while Murtaugh uses punches, and both can fight with weapons they collect. Their partner system offers another tactical choice: leave through the left edge of the screen to change detectives and give the resting officer a chance to recover some energy. Ammunition, health pickups, and the choice between gunfire and close combat shape the journey through the criminal operation.
