How to Play Little League Baseball: Championship Series
Quick start
Press START, choose Exhibition Mode and select 1 Player for a quick game. Use the D-pad and A to choose your team and the computer's opponent. Press A for the pregame bat-grabbing contest that determines home and visitor. Keep the default lineup by backing out with B, then confirm with A when ready to take the field. Bat with A, bunt with B and pitch with A. After catching a hit, hold the direction of the intended base and press A to throw.
Controls
Menus: D-pad moves the cursor, A selects and B cancels. Batting: D-pad positions the batter; A swings and B bunts. Running: choose a base with the D-pad + B to advance or attempt a steal; D-pad + A returns a runner, while down + A stops all runners. A steal starts when the pitcher releases the ball. Pitching: A delivers; up selects a slow pitch, down a fast pitch, and left/right bends the ball after release. Fielding: D-pad moves the fielder; with the ball, direction + A throws and direction + B carries it to a base. Base directions are right=first, up=second, left=third, down=home; an A throw without a direction goes to first. START calls TIME; SELECT is unused.
Little League Baseball: Championship Series — About this game
Little League Baseball: Championship Series combines direct on-field action with decisions about your lineup and defensive formation. Choose from sixteen teams, compare their batting, pitching, defense and running strengths, then take charge of swings, bunts, curved pitches and throws around the diamond. Exhibition mode offers a quick game against the computer or another player, while Championship Series builds a tournament with domestic and international teams. Substitutions, base stealing and field shifts reward more than simply swinging at every pitch; tournament passwords let you return to an unfinished series.
