How to Play Loopz
Quick start
On the options screen, use SELECT to choose one player. Move down to the game-type option and choose Game A; on its level screen, use left/right to select Level 0 for more thinking time. Once the board appears, move the first piece with the Control Pad, rotate it with A, and place it with B. Join open ends into a closed loop before the piece timer runs out. Leave room for larger pieces, and avoid two-square gaps: straight pieces are one or three squares long.
Controls
Control Pad: move the current piece. A: rotate clockwise around its marked center. B: place the piece. START: pause or resume during play. On the options screen, down moves between settings and SELECT changes the player count, game type, or music; left/right selects Game A’s starting level. A+B+SELECT together resets the game, so avoid this combination during a run.
Loopz — About this game
Loopz turns straight and bent pieces into a test of spatial planning. Move and rotate each piece before its timer expires, then close a loop to remove its pieces and earn points. Larger, more elaborate loops are worth more, but unfinished lines can quickly leave the board crowded. Game A offers a choice of starting level, while Game B raises the level as you complete loops and adds two kinds of bonus round. Game C changes the task: study a complete loop, then rebuild it after pieces have been removed. An occasional starburst-shaped gopher can clear an unfinished loop. The two-player options offer either simultaneous competition or alternating placement with shared lives and points.
