How to Play Lux-Pain
Quick start
Begin Episode 00 and follow the opening scenes until the building search. Rub away the darkness around the two marked thought fragments, then hold each revealed Shinen until it disappears. Read the recovered messages. At the apartment, repeat the process on the left and right fragments before following the next scene. Watch the upper screen when later searches introduce moving targets and limits.
Controls
DS: tap locations and dialogue choices. Rub with the stylus to uncover a Shinen, then hold it until extraction finishes. Drag a recovered thought box to the person's forehead and tap the imprint icon, or press X, to read it. L activates the search ability when available. Follow the displayed tap/slash instructions in Silent encounters. START offers saving from the map screen.
Lux-Pain — About this game
Lux-Pain follows Atsuki through conversations and psychic investigations connected to parasites called Silent. Scratching away a dark layer reveals moving Shinen, fragments of thought that must be held with the stylus to remove them. Their messages give context to people and incidents, linking dialogue to hands-on searches. Later investigations introduce stricter time and erasing limits, so watching the upper-screen clues matters more than rubbing every area at random. Imprinting the recovered thoughts and entering an infected person's inner world lead to further revelations and touch-based confrontations. The opening episode teaches these actions before the school investigation expands the cast.
