How to Play Centipede (Prototype)

Quick start

Start a game from the opening screen, move into a clear firing lane and shoot the nearest descending segments. Keep space beside your defender so you can escape when enemies reach the lower area.

Controls

Directional pad: move the defender. A: fire upward. Use movement and fire together to keep an escape route open.

Centipede (Prototype) — About this game

This is a prototype version. A segmented centipede winds through a field of mushrooms toward your defender at the bottom of the screen. Fire upward to break it apart, but remember that surviving sections keep advancing and mushrooms change the route they take. Move into clear firing lanes instead of staying directly beneath the closest threat. Other moving enemies make the lower play area dangerous, so balancing aim with escape space is more effective than chasing every target. The challenge builds as the playfield becomes increasingly crowded.
