How to Play Ishidó: The Way of Stones
Quick start
Choose the stone set and play options, then begin a game. Move the pointer to an empty square beside a matching stone. Before placing, compare both colour and symbol with every adjacent stone.
Controls
Directional pad: move the pointer. A: place the current stone on a legal square. B: take back the last placement. A or B changes highlighted options in the menu.

Each stone carries a colour and a symbol, and every placement must respect the stones already beside it. Your aim is to fit a whole pouch of stones onto the board without running out of legal spaces. Simple matches open the game, but intersections become increasingly demanding as neighbours surround an empty square. Four-way matches are valuable and reward careful preparation. Resist filling every convenient gap immediately: leaving several kinds of matching opportunities gives you more options when an awkward stone arrives.
