How to Play M.U.L.E.

Quick start

Choose Beginner for a shorter introduction. Press A to claim a color, then point toward a species with the D-pad and confirm with A. During the land grant, press A when the moving square reaches your chosen plot. River land suits food production. Collect a M.U.L.E. at the corral, take it to the food outfitter, then leave town to either side. Stand on your plot's house and press A to install it before time expires. At auctions, check the critical line before selling necessities.

Controls

D-pad: move and select a species. A: claim a color or land, confirm a species, and install or collect a M.U.L.E. while standing on your property's house. Auction Up/Down: declare buyer or seller and adjust your price; a seller moves down to lower the asking price, a buyer up to raise the bid. Trading starts when the price lines meet; move away to stop. Select: pause or resume.

M.U.L.E. — About this game

M.U.L.E. turns a four-colonist settlement into an economic contest. You acquire land, buy mechanical workers and equip them to produce resources, then trade the results with the other settlers and the store. Food supports your development time, energy keeps production running, and Smithore feeds the supply of new M.U.L.E.s. Specializing can be lucrative, but depending on rivals for necessities leaves you exposed when shortages develop. Each round combines a timed management turn with production, unexpected events and auctions. Your land and goods count alongside cash in the final wealth comparison, so the largest bank balance alone is not the whole story.
