How to Play Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa
Quick start
Choose Start Game and an available save slot. Follow the opening objective, practise movement and B to jump, then try Y for basic attacks and A for a charged hit. On a character disc, use B for the cooperative event. Read the special-action prompt and try X as an alternative input.
Controls
The Control Pad moves, Y attacks with repeated presses for combos, and A charges an attack when held. B jumps or activates an event on a character disc. Use the touch screen for character specials and puzzles; Melman's special uses the microphone. X performs the alternative touch/microphone action. START pauses; menus use the pad, A to confirm and B to return.
Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa — About this game
The zoo friends' repaired plane takes them from Madagascar to Africa, where their journey becomes a series of locations, fights and environmental puzzles. Control Alex, Marty, Gloria and Melman, using each character's special action when the route calls for it. The DS mixes regular attacks and jumps with touch gestures; Melman's special action uses the microphone, and X provides an alternative to these special inputs. Character discs trigger cooperative events within the adventure. Find monkeys to unlock extras such as costumes and harder play, and progress through the story to open mini-games including Mort Pinball. Mangoes stun enemies, while health packs help you recover before the next obstacle.
