How to Play Madden NFL 06
Quick start
Choose a short exhibition game or Practice with one team. Select a simple running play, read the down and yards needed, then snap and follow the blocking. Try one short pass next, checking the receiver marker before throwing. Review the result before changing formations.
Controls
Choose plays through the lower-screen menu and use the standard Control Pad/button scheme for movement and receiver passes. For kicking, set the shown angle and swipe upward quickly and straight on the touch screen. Check the control option before using the separate full-touch scheme.
Madden NFL 06 — About this game
Madden NFL 06 adds a multi-season Franchise to DS football alongside Season, Situation and the Two Minute Drill. Build a drive by matching formations to the down, distance and remaining clock, then change to defense and cover the opponent's likely route. Mini Camp isolates skills in shorter exercises before a full match. This edition's kicking uses a quick straight upward stroke on the touch screen after setting the angle; a separate touch-control option also changes field input. Begin with standard controls and a short practice drive, then test the kick motion. Keep the two control schemes distinct rather than mixing their prompts during a play. Begin with the opening instructions and practice the main interaction before pursuing optional rewards. Read the current objective, make one deliberate choice and watch its effect before repeating it. A short first session makes it easier to separate a missed instruction from a difficult challenge. Return to the available menu when you need to check progress or adjust your approach, then continue from the next clear objective.
