How to Play Madden NFL 2003
Quick start
From the Main Menu choose Play Now for an Exhibition game, select the home and away teams, set rules and controller side, then choose START GAME. Make the coin-toss choice and call a simple running play for the opening drive. On offense, snap with A and protect the ball; on defense, select a nearby player before the snap and use the tackle controls after the play begins.
Controls
Before the snap, D-pad repositions or sends a man in motion and A snaps; B opens audibles, A/B/R chooses one and L cancels. Running uses the D-pad, A speed burst, B spin, R hurdle and L dive or QB slide. Passing: A shows receiver icons, then A/B/L/R throws to the matching receiver. On defense A selects the nearest defender, B power-tackles, R jumps and L dives. START pauses.
