How to Play Madden NFL 2004
Quick start
Choose PLAY NOW, SOLO PLAY, select the teams, rules and controller side, then choose START GAME. Set Skill Level to PRO and Automatic Player Control while learning. Pick a formation and one of its three plays, snap with A, and mix runs with short passes; on defense, use A to switch to the nearest defender and stop the carrier.
Controls
Running: D-pad moves, A speed burst, B spins, L dives and R hurdles. Passing: A calls symbols, then A/B/L/R passes; SELECT throws away. Defense: A selects nearest defender, B speed-bursts/power-tackles, L dives and R jumps/raises hands. Before snap, B calls an audible and A snaps; START pauses.
