Use the cross button to move and select menu/battle commands, A to talk/investigate/open treasure chests/confirm, B to cancel/return to the previous screen. In battle, use the cross button to select a summon or action, press A to confirm, and press B to return. Approach obstacles and devices, press A, and follow the instructions on the screen.
