How to Play Magical Starsign
Quick start
Start a new game, choose your protagonist’s gender and light or dark element, then follow the academy lessons. Against the practice dummy, try the physical attack, Magic, Item and Guard commands as instructed. In the next lessons, move a character between rows and check the elemental symbols and astrology display. Tap the bag at the lower left to open the Pocket Menu; the Encyclopedia lets you revisit the lessons before the journey begins.
Controls
Touch the lower screen to move, interact and select field or battle commands. Tap Magic, choose a spell and select its target. Use Move and drag a party member to change rows. For a Spellstrike, tap the caster just before the swirling elemental aura disappears; tap a character just before an enemy hit to reduce its damage. A/B/X/Y move right/down/up/left; L or R talks or inspects, and holding either while moving runs.
Magical Starsign — About this game
A teacher leaves Will-o-Wisp Academy on a dangerous mission and fails to return. Her six students set off after her, turning their school lessons into a journey between planets. Battles use commands, elemental matchups and two party rows: front-row spells focus on one target, while back-row magic reaches a group with reduced strength. The moving planets can strengthen a matching element, and light and dark characters draw power from day and night. Timed touches boost spells or soften incoming hits, so choosing a command is only part of a turn. Outside battle, elemental field magic opens routes through environmental obstacles.
