How to Play Magnetica
Quick start
Touch START on the title screen and choose Challenge. Pick Training and view the mode’s tutorial before beginning. To begin, touch START or tap Training again. Touch the marble in the launcher, then slide away from it toward a useful gap. Aim to join two marbles of the same colour. Watch the reactor end of the track, and look for shots that bring matching colours together after a group disappears.
Controls
Place the stylus on the launcher marble and slide in the firing direction. A faster stroke launches a faster shot. Wait for the marble to join the line or disappear before firing again. Touch menu icons to select and confirm. Use the on-screen pause control for Return to Game or End Game; Puzzle also offers Retry.
Magnetica — About this game
Magnetica puts a marble launcher beside a winding track. Touch the loaded marble and flick the stylus to send it into the advancing line; three or more of the same colour disappear. The speed of the shot follows your stroke, so control matters as much as choosing the right gap. Matching colours attract across a cleared space, pulling sections together and creating further matches. Challenge builds toward level 99, while Quest offers more than fifty missions with changing layouts, obstacles and special stages. Puzzle supplies a fixed set of marbles, all of which must be used to clear the track. The original DS release also includes two-player local battles, where chains send obstacles to the opponent.
