How to Play Mahjong Haou DS - Dan-Kyuu Battle
Quick start
Start an available CPU or free match and read the table's rules. Inspect the drawn tile before selecting a discard, aiming for a legal scoring hand while watching opponents' discards. Learn when to pass a call instead of taking every offered meld.
Controls
Use the DS touch hand or tile cursor to select a discard and confirm as the current panel requests. Choose displayed call, riichi, win or pass controls only when legal. Inspect the rule setting and score before confirming a meld; menu and help options do not replace making a valid hand.
Mahjong Haou DS - Dan-Kyuu Battle — About this game
Dan-Kyuu Battle organizes solo Japanese mahjong around rank challenges and questions. Begin at the lower grades, read a battle's condition and choose discards that serve that target rather than only chasing a large hand. The separate graded problems focus on decisions such as which tile to cut, while free matches and the Mahjong Tora no Ana lessons offer another pace. Review recorded results to compare a promising plan with what actually happened. Start with a lower-grade question or free CPU hand, learn the available rule set and work toward harder conditions. The in-game rank progression is the goal here, without promising a currently redeemable external certificate. Begin with the opening instructions and practice the main interaction before pursuing optional rewards. Read the current objective, make one deliberate choice and watch its effect before repeating it. A short first session makes it easier to separate a missed instruction from a difficult challenge. Return to the available menu when you need to check progress or adjust your approach, then continue from the next clear objective.
