How to Play Mahjong Taikai
Quick start
Press any button during the demo to proceed to the menu. If you change the rules, confirm the settings by clicking "Exit" on the rules screen. At first, select "Mahjongso" and use the D-pad and A to select three opponents. If you are offered a bet, you can choose to decline as long as you want to avoid making additional bets. On your turn, choose a tile to discard with left and right, and hit A with A. For barking and righting, open the processing menu below, select the item, and press A to confirm. If you want to interrupt the process, select ``Exit'' from the main menu to save the data, and then select ``Start from where you left'' next time to resume.
Controls
D-pad up and down: Select menu items. A: Selection Decision. B: Cancel in normal menu. To the left and right of your turn: select a tile, A: discard the selected tile. Bottom: Opens a menu of actions that can be performed on the spot, such as Chi, Pong, Kang, Standing, Long, and Tsumo. Decide on the processing items using the top and bottom and A, or if there are multiple combinations, use the left and right and A, then press the top to return to the normal screen. In the scene where the other family's discarded tiles flash and sound, be careful as pressing only A will send them off. On your turn: Check the remaining piles. B on your turn: Open the environment window for points, conversations, BGM, etc., and close it with B.
Mahjong Taikai — About this game
This is a four-player mahjong game where you play against 15 unique people, including Ryoma Sakamoto, Nobunaga Oda, and Cleopatra. Everyone starts with $100, and the goal is to be the first to get to $10,000. In ``Mahjongso'', you choose three opponents and accumulate funds and tournament prize money by playing half-so. The tournament is a knock-off format where the top two players from each table advance to the next, creating a different sense of tension from regular matches. There are no tournament prizes at first, so let's start with the mahjong parlor. In addition to adjusting the rules, you can also change the display of points, conversations, and BGM settings during the game. If your opponent's discarded tile has an opportunity to chirp or roll, the progress will be stopped, but it is not enough to chirp just about anything. This is a game where you play by looking at your hand, score, and the amount of money you have, and even thinking about who to play against.
