For batting, watch the ball and touch at the shown timing; finish the scene's specific task before expecting the story to continue.
Controls
Use the DS stylus to select pitch course and type and slide through the displayed pitching zone. Batting uses the ball's touch timing, with hitting or bunting chosen for the situation. Fielding is handled automatically; story mini-games show separate touch instructions rather than a full manual field-control layout.

Dream Baseball is a story-led MAJOR adaptation built around particular baseball situations. Goro's journey is interspersed with pitching and batting tasks, with touch-screen slashes for pitches and timed contact for hits.
