How to Play Major League Baseball 2K7
Quick start
Choose an available single game and your team. Before a pitch arrives, pick the part of the strike zone where you will swing, then concentrate on timing. On the mound, select a pitch and target; practise a full half-inning before trying riskier baserunning.
Controls
Use the DS directional and displayed button commands for swinging, fielding and baserunning, or the touch-screen options for pitch selection, aim and swing. Set the batting target before the pitch. Check which fielder is active before moving or selecting a base throw; this edition does not use later power-and-accuracy charging mechanics.

The DS MLB 2K7 keeps its focus on individual baseball games. Choose a team, target a pitch and time the swing after selecting the part of the strike zone you intend to cover. Touch options sit alongside conventional commands for pitching and batting, with fielders and runners handled through the game's DS controls. Learn the change of viewpoint when the ball enters play before trying to stretch a hit into extra bases. Begin with one matchup and a few deliberate pitches. This edition has no Season or player-trade mode, and its input does not include the later games' separate power-and-accuracy charge. Begin with the opening instructions and practice the main interaction before pursuing optional rewards. Read the current objective, make one deliberate choice and watch its effect before repeating it. A short first session makes it easier to separate a missed instruction from a difficult challenge. Return to the available menu when you need to check progress or adjust your approach, then continue from the next clear objective.
