How to Play Major League Baseball 2K8 Fantasy All-Stars
Quick start
Begin with Training or an Exhibition. Practise tracing a pitch toward the plate, then time a stylus swing at an ordinary ball before adding power-ups. On defense, move toward the landing marker and draw the throw toward the appropriate base; attempt Fantasy Pennant after learning one inning.
Controls
Pitch by drawing gestures toward the plate and swing with a timed stylus arc. Use the +Control Pad to move fielders, then draw right for first base, up for second, left for third or down for home. Drag an earned power-up icon onto the bat or ball when you want its effect, and check its limited availability.

Fantasy All-Stars reworks MLB into a DS arcade game with cartoon athletes and unusual ballparks. Draw the pitch and trace a timed swing, then move a fielder with the pad and send a touch-screen throw to the correct base. Earn power-ups through successful plays and apply effects such as an icy bat or an unpredictable ball when the situation suits them. Fantasy Pennant links tournaments, while Exhibition, Training and team creation offer other starting points. Begin without special effects until you understand ordinary contact and pitch placement. These fantasy mechanics belong to this DS game rather than the realistic console MLB 2K8 control system. Begin with the opening instructions and practice the main interaction before pursuing optional rewards. Read the current objective, make one deliberate choice and watch its effect before repeating it. A short first session makes it easier to separate a missed instruction from a difficult challenge. Return to the available menu when you need to check progress or adjust your approach, then continue from the next clear objective.
