How to Play Mappy
Quick start
Press SELECT or START on the title to proceed to the selection screen, select 1-person or 2-person use with SELECT, and start with START. First, go around the aisles with items on the left and right, and open the closed door with A or B. If you step onto the trampoline from the edge of the floor, you will automatically jump, and while climbing, you can land by pressing the direction of the floor you want to go to. It is safe to return to the floor and recover the trampoline before it continues bouncing and turns red. Beginners should not force themselves to follow the flashing pairs, but instead collect the items that are easy to pick up. Avoid getting on the same floor as the cat, and if you think you might be surrounded, open and close the door to create an escape route.
Controls
D-pad left and right: Move through the aisle. If you press left or right while climbing on the trampoline, you will jump to the passage in that direction. A/B: Both open and close doors and power doors. START: Start the game, pause/resume during play. SELECT: Switch between 1 and 2 players on the selection screen. You will automatically jump from the edge of the floor to the trampoline, so A is not a jump and B is not an attack. Items can be collected by touching them, and bells will also fall if you touch them.
Mappy — About this game
This is a comical action game for the Famicom where you recover items stolen by Nyamuko and Mewkies. Run left and right on each floor of the mansion and move to the upper floor using the trampoline in the gap in the floor. Rather than jumping freely with the button, it is important to time the jump into the desired passage while ascending. You can touch the cat while it's jumping, but if you land on the same floor you'll be caught, so be sure to look at the cat's position before you jump. Regular doors can be used as tools to stun enemies, and thick powered doors can counterattack with shockwaves. If you keep picking the same type of things like radio cassette players and safes, your points will increase, but if you stay too long and focus on getting points, an invincible ancestor will appear. First, prioritize collecting all the items, and once you get used to it, try to improve the order of collection and how to use the doors to aim for a high score, and even a short game can be a rich game.
