How to Play March of the Penguins
Quick start
Begin the first migration puzzle and inspect the upper-screen map. Watch where the marching birds will fall or fail to climb, then drag one suitable tool into place before they arrive. Test the route and adjust the next object rather than filling the landscape at random.
Controls
Use the DS stylus to drag and drop route-building objects such as steps, springy tents or cushioning snowballs. Watch the upper-screen map while the birds continue walking. Maze and swimming chapters use their own movement prompts; read the current chapter's task instead of treating every level as object placement.
March of the Penguins — About this game
March of the Penguins adapts the documentary's migration into twelve puzzle chapters. Some ask you to place tools ahead of a constantly walking group: steps lift them, tents bounce them and snowballs soften a drop. Others shift to ice mazes, feeding at sea or protecting an egg, so the required interaction changes with the penguins' life cycle. The DS lets you drag objects directly with the stylus and keep an overview on the upper screen. Begin with the first route, identify one dangerous gap and test a tool before constructing the rest. Photographs and migration facts between chapters supply context alongside the active puzzles. Begin with the opening instructions and practice the main interaction before pursuing optional rewards. Read the current objective, make one deliberate choice and watch its effect before repeating it. A short first session makes it easier to separate a missed instruction from a difficult challenge. Return to the available menu when you need to check progress or adjust your approach, then continue from the next clear objective.
