How to Play Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga
Quick start
Choose New Game and a save file. After Toad calls at Mario's house, follow the opening events through the castle plaza, complete the first timed-action battle lessons, and board the Koopa Cruiser bound for the Beanbean Kingdom. In fights, watch each enemy rather than the text prompt: press A for Mario and B for Luigi at the moment of contact to strengthen attacks or dodge.
Controls
D-pad moves and selects. In the field, A performs the lead brother's shown action and B the rear brother's; L and R cycle the rear and lead actions, L+R restores both to Jump, START swaps the lead brother, and SELECT opens the suitcase. In battle, A handles Mario's commands and action timing, B handles Luigi's, and the D-pad selects commands; START pauses.
