How to Play Martin Mystery
Quick start
Read the opening conversation and inspect the room before using an item. Collect something relevant, compare it with the current request and try it at the place it fits. Revisit a character after an important discovery, and read a puzzle's rule before moving its first piece.
Controls
Move the selected character with the DS stylus, tap doors and objects and switch to the teammate who can use the current obstacle. Transfer items between the team as needed. Mini-games may ask for guiding a bubble, circling monsters or copying a number on the left slate and a letter on the right; follow the displayed task.
Martin Mystery — About this game
Martin Mystery uses a top-down sequence of rooms to investigate paranormal creatures. Martin, Diana and Java can separate, exchange items and handle different character-specific doors or mechanisms. Search an office, tomb or mansion, collect what the next room needs and switch to the appropriate teammate. Stylus mini-games break up the exploration: guide a bubble through a maze, circle approaching monsters or copy a displayed number or letter onto its matching slate. Begin with one room's doors and objects, then test a different character if an interaction will not work. The three-character teamwork is controlled within the solo adventure rather than promising three human players. Begin with the opening instructions and practice the main interaction before pursuing optional rewards. Read the current objective, make one deliberate choice and watch its effect before repeating it. A short first session makes it easier to separate a missed instruction from a difficult challenge. Return to the available menu when you need to check progress or adjust your approach, then continue from the next clear objective.
