How to Play Marusa no Onna
Quick start
You can run the demo by pressing START or SELECT. For the title, select START with SELECT and start with the START button. At the tax office, first change your sleeping position from ``Sonota'', then turn to the side where the person is and listen to what he has to say. Check ``Search → Office → Minato Hall'' on your computer, and go to town using ``Ido → Soto''. Go to Akayama from the station on the top left of the tax office and check the port hall on the top left. Once you have a clue, return to the tax office, check the documents, and don't forget to report to Tsuyuguchi. When prompted, please write down the password and enter it from the title PASSWORD when restarting.
Controls
D-pad: Commands, target selection, movement on the town map. A: Command determination, displaying the continuation of a long sentence. Press and hold A to fast-forward through messages. B: Cancel the selected command. SELECT: Switch START/PASSWORD by title. START: Determined by the title, cutting the movement effect of the entire map. In a town, stand at the entrance and press the cross key in the direction of the entrance to enter the building. On the screen where the arrow flashes when you press ``Look → Around'', move the viewpoint by using the cross key in that direction. To enter a password, use the cross keys to select a character, press A to confirm, and press B to go back one character.
Marusa no Onna — About this game
This is a command-based adventure in which you play as Ryoko Itakura, an investigator at the port town tax office, investigating companies and people suspected of tax evasion. In addition to talking to people indoors, you will walk through the town looking down on it diagonally, moving from the station to different districts, and visiting the research destinations. It is important to take the ledgers and testimonies you find back to the tax office for verification. Proceed to the next clue by reporting to your superior Tsuyuguchi, calling your subordinate Yoshino, and searching for addresses and banks on your computer. Once the evidence is gathered, bargaining options appear to placate or contradict the other party. However, if you force it, you may be kicked out, and the content of the same conversation topic will change depending on progress. This is a work where the power of observation that connects records and testimonies is important, not combat skills. This book is suitable not only for those who know the movie, but also for those who like detective stories that involve repeated interviews.
