How to Play Alex Kidd in Miracle World
Quick start
Press 1 at the title screen. Descend Mt. Eternal carefully, punch accessible blocks and collect money. Avoid skull boxes and take time to judge each jump before entering the water.
Controls
Left/right: move; down: crouch. Button 1: jump; button 2: punch or use the active attack item. Press 1+2 to punch during a jump. Pause opens the map and inventory. These are the original cartridge controls; later built-in revisions swap jump and punch.
Alex Kidd in Miracle World — About this game
Alex uses his rock-breaking punches to travel through mountains, lakes and castles and confront Janken. Blocks hide money and useful objects, but some release dangerous enemies. Shops turn collected coins into vehicles and temporary powers, while several encounters are decided by rock-paper-scissors rather than ordinary combat. Careful jumps and a little preparation matter as much as attacking.
