How to Play Asterix
Quick start
Press 1 or 2 to begin and follow the player and character selections. In the first area, practice a held jump and punch Romans before they close in.
Controls
Left/right: move. Up: grab ropes/vines; down: descend or enter pipes/vats. 1: punch. 2: jump; hold for height, tap repeatedly underwater to rise. Either button starts. Up+1: throw a carried item; down+1: put it down.
Asterix — About this game
Caesar’s soldiers kidnap Getafix, threatening the village’s supply of magic potion. Asterix and Obelix set out across the Roman Empire in a platform adventure built around punching, jumping and finding a route through hazards. Ropes, vines and underwater passages change how you move. Holding the jump button gives extra height, while underwater you tap it repeatedly to rise.
