How to Play Champions of Europe
Quick start
Choose practice from the icon menu with the D-pad and 1, then choose a team and start the session. Practise trapping with held 1, turning toward a teammate and releasing to pass. Move on to a single match once passing and shooting feel comfortable.
Controls
D-pad: run/aim. 1: menu confirm; with possession hold to trap, turn and release to pass; tap to chip; airborne ball attempts a header; without possession slide tackle. 2: sprint toward a free ball; with possession hard shot, then D-pad bends it. 1 + 2 with possession: cycle formations. Penalties: D-pad aim/dive direction, 1 kick/dive.
Champions of Europe — About this game
Champions of Europe puts a full team on a scrolling football pitch, with a radar showing positions beyond the immediate view. The game selects the player nearest the ball, leaving you to guide runs, trap passes and choose shots. Holding the first button traps the ball so you can turn before releasing a pass; the second delivers a powerful shot and allows directional bend. Referees differ in strictness, and weather and match settings change the conditions. Practise without an opposing team before entering a single match or the European tournament.
