How to Play F1 Championship
Quick start
Choose a player mode and try Arcade on EASY with automatic gears. Select your pre-race options with up/down and 1. Use 1 to accelerate and 2 to brake, watching the map before the first tight turn.
Controls
Left/right: steer. Automatic gears: 1 accelerates, 2 brakes. Manual gears: hold 1 for revs and press 2 together with it to shift up; down+2 shifts down. Menus: up/down and 1 confirm. Console Pause opens pause options; press again to confirm the highlighted choice.
F1 Championship — About this game
F1 brings circuit racing to Master System with a choice between Arcade progression and a Grand Prix campaign. Arcade demands a finishing position good enough to reach the next race; Grand Prix adds qualifying and championship competition. You can adjust parts of the car's setup and choose automatic or manual gears. The circuit map helps you anticipate corners, but tyre smoke warns that grip is running out. Straighten the car or brake before a slide becomes a spin. Two players can also race on a divided screen, making traffic and overtaking part of a shared contest.
