How to Play Fantasy Zone - The Maze
Quick start
For solo play, press 1 on controller 1; for two players, start with controller 2. Choose the starting world with controller 1’s D-pad and confirm with 1. Begin by collecting nearby coins, avoid enemies and cross an item circle only when you can afford the displayed power-up.
Controls
D-pad: move through the maze and choose the starting world. 1 or 2: confirm a world and fire after buying a weapon. Cross a power-up circle to purchase its displayed item automatically when you have enough money. Controller 2 starts simultaneous two-player play.
Fantasy Zone - The Maze — About this game
Fantasy Zone: The Maze changes the series into a game of routes and pursuit. The goal is to collect every coin in the maze while avoiding the Menons, rather than clearing a scrolling battlefield. Each round begins without a weapon. Collecting money lets you buy a power-up simply by crossing its circle when the item appears and your balance is high enough. Weapons can clear a dangerous passage, while speed or temporary invincibility changes which route is safe. A second player can join simultaneously as Upa-Upa. Watch the next junction before committing to a long corridor: a route that gathers coins quickly is only useful if it leaves a way past the approaching enemies.
