How to Play GP Rider
Quick start
Press 1 until the GAME menu appears. In CONTROLS choose layout 1, then select ARCADE and ONE PLAY. Read the track information, choose automatic transmission and confirm the thumbs-up icon. In the lower view, hold 2 to accelerate and brake with 1 before corners.
Controls
Control layout 1: left/right steers, 2 accelerates and 1 brakes; up/down shifts up/down with manual transmission. D-pad selects menu items; 1 or 2 confirms most choices. Console Pause pauses and resumes. CONTROLS also offers an alternative layout.
GP Rider — About this game
GP Rider keeps your rival in view on the upper half of the screen while you race below. Qualifying sets your starting position, but the race also demands clean laps before the countdown expires. Arcade offers a single event, Tournament lets you assemble a calendar, and Grand Prix follows a longer championship. Bike preparation matters: engine consumption, gearing and wet or dry tyres change what suits the course. Automatic transmission leaves you free to concentrate on braking and traffic; manual shifting adds another task in the corners. A second player can take over the upper view for a direct contest. Study the track information, prepare for the weather and leave room around other riders, because a collision costs time you cannot afford to waste.
