How to Play Great Ice Hockey
Quick start
Use a Sports Pad in Sports mode with the action switch at one dot. Start on the appropriate one- or two-player side, choose level, period length and opponent, then practise passes with 2 before shooting with 1.
Controls
Sports Pad trackball: move the marked skater and aim shots. 2: pass. Roll toward the shooting direction, then press 1 to shoot. When controlling the goalkeeper, 1 holds his position; roll again to release him.
Great Ice Hockey — About this game
Move the puck through fast passes and place a shot beyond the goalkeeper. Great Ice Hockey uses the Sega Sports Pad trackball: the direction and speed of rolling shape movement and shooting. Arrows identify the skaters you control and teammates ready to receive a pass. Select the opponent and period length before facing three periods on the ice. There are no fouls, so pressure the puck carrier, but keep your goalkeeper positioned to cover the return attack.
