How to Play Joe Montana Football
Quick start
Press 1 at the title, use up to choose one or two players, and confirm with 1. For solo play, choose Beginner first. Select teams, complete the coin toss and choose a play before snapping.
Controls
D-pad: select plays and move your player. 1: confirm, snap and pass; after an opposing pass, select the defender nearest the receiver. 2: cycle receivers on offense, take control of your receiver after a pass, or change defenders before the snap.
Joe Montana Football — About this game
Joe Montana Football combines a playbook with direct control of the action on the field. Choose a formation before each snap, then look for space to run or an open receiver to pass to. On defense, switching players helps you cover the intended receiver and close in on the ball carrier. One player can face the computer at three skill levels, while two players compete against each other. The passing game rewards reading the defense before committing to a throw.
