How to Play Renegade
Quick start
Press 1 to open the game menu. Use the D-pad to highlight PLAYER 1 LEVEL and 1 to choose LEVEL 1, then select 1 PLAYER GAME and press 1. In the first fight, use 1 against enemies on your left and 2 against enemies on your right.
Controls
D-pad: move around the arena; tap a direction twice to run. 1: attack left/start/menu selection. 2: attack right. 1+2: jump kick; while running: running jump kick. Attack actions depend on facing and grapples; when facing left, a grab uses 1 for knee strikes and 2 to throw, reversed when facing right. Console Pause: pause.
Renegade — About this game
Renegade puts Mr. K against a criminal Syndicate across street fights, a motorcycle encounter and the final mansion. The fighting area has depth, so changing lanes matters as much as moving toward an enemy. Its two attack buttons correspond to left and right: an opponent approaching from behind calls for the other button rather than simply pressing the same punch again. Double-tapping a direction starts a run, and pressing both buttons produces a jump kick. Close-range grapples and attacks on fallen enemies add alternatives to trading blows. Each area has a time limit, while power-ups can restore or extend your energy. A two-player game alternates after a lost life, with separate difficulty choices for each player. Begin on level 1 and practise attacking to either side before using running attacks near the edge of the arena.
