How to Play Shinobi
Quick start
Press 1 or 2 at the title screen. Advance carefully through the first streets, rescue the captives and use up+2 to reach roofs. Watch the life meter rather than rushing into guards.
Controls
Left/right: move; down: crouch. 1: attack, using melee at close range. 2: jump. Up+2: jump to higher platforms; down+2: drop to lower ones. After earning magic and defeating ten enemies, hold 2 then press 1 when its icon flashes.
Shinobi — About this game
Joe Musashi fights through five missions to free kidnapped hostages and defeat the Ring of Five. This Master System version adds a life meter and rewards rescues with useful upgrades. Ranged attacks become close combat when enemies approach, while high and low platform jumps open different paths. Winning the shooting-gallery bonus grants ninja magic, which must be charged by defeating ten enemies before use.
