How to Play Speedball

Quick start

Press 1 or 2 at the title, choose a mode and team, then move toward the ball. Try short throws first; holding the button sends the ball higher.

Controls

D-pad: move the active player. 1 or 2: throw while holding the ball; hold longer for a high throw. Without possession: tackle, slide while moving or jump for a nearby airborne ball. 1 or 2 starts at the title.

Speedball — About this game

Speedball pits two teams against each other in a steel-walled arena. Throw the ball into the opposing goal, exploit rebound domes and send passes through side tunnels that return the ball on the other side. A short throw stays low, while holding the action button produces a high lob that can clear players but miss a low goal. Without the ball, the same action tackles or jumps for a catch. Teams differ in stamina and skill, and temporary tokens change the match. Play a knockout competition alone or challenge another player.
