How to Play Maya the Bee: The Great Adventure
Quick start
Choose English at the language screen and start the adventure. The opening levels take place inside the beehive: follow the large arrow signs, move through the side-scrolling passages and collect the flower icons while looking for Maya's missing friend Willie. The flower counter appears in the upper-right, while Maya's remaining lives and health are shown on the left. Explore side passages for hidden areas, but concentrate first on reaching the end of each stage without touching the guards and other hazards.
Controls
Use the D-Pad to move Maya through the side-scrolling stages and navigate the menus. A makes Maya jump and fly; this assignment is specifically corroborated by a GBA CodeBreaker entry named “Press A Button For Flying” and by the visible airborne movement in the GBA play video. A directly viewable manual was not found, so the functions of B, L, R, START and SELECT are not supplied by guesswork.
