How to Play Mazes of Fate DS
Quick start
Choose a starting character and read the first conversations and quest entry. Practise moving and turning in a safe corridor, inspect a nearby passage and learn one attack’s recovery before approaching another enemy. Check the automap and unexplored branches when a key or switch appears missing.
Controls
Use the DS directional pad to move and strafe, and drag the stylus to turn the first-person view. Tap the intended enemy or displayed attack control to strike; select a spell and aim it with the stylus when casting. Watch action cooldowns, and lift the stylus before moving between view control and menu icons to avoid accidental attacks.
Mazes of Fate DS — About this game
Mazes of Fate DS rebuilds the fantasy dungeon adventure with freely moving 3D exploration. Follow quests, speak with townspeople and search corridors for switches, keys, hidden passages and treasure. The automap helps you identify unexplored spaces, while character statistics influence some conversation choices. Combat uses tapped attacks and spells with recovery time between actions, so check readiness instead of assuming every touch produces another strike. Begin with short movement and turning practice, inspect the first corridor and read the quest log before pushing deeper. This DS version’s controls differ from the older grid-based GBA release. Begin with the opening instructions and practice the main interaction before pursuing optional rewards. Read the current objective, make one deliberate choice and watch its effect before repeating it. A short first session makes it easier to separate a missed instruction from a difficult challenge. Return to the available menu when you need to check progress or adjust your approach, then continue from the next clear objective.
