How to Play Metal Max
Quick start
Press START on the title, enter the main character's name using the cross button and A, and select "End". Talk to people in Riorad, check your armor and recovery methods, then head to the southern cave. Red Wolf will come to your aid during the battle against Bionic Pochi on the third basement floor, so your first priority will be to survive. Get the Mosquito in the back and select OPEN on the nearby computer to open the way home. When you return to town, check the supply and armor tiles. Record your progress by talking to the person at the memory center.
Controls
Cross button: Move the main character, select commands and targets. A: Open a normal command or make a selection while standing still. B: Cancel, close screen or command. START: Starts with the title, and displays the data screen of acquired tanks during play. SELECT: Disabled until the corresponding item is obtained. To have a conversation, face the other person and choose ``Speak'', and to get on or off a tank, choose ``Get on/off'' while standing next to the vehicle. Save is done at the memory center in town instead of START.
Metal Max — About this game
An RPG where you set out on a journey to become a first-class hunter in a world where civilization has collapsed and monsters roam. The protagonist, who started walking from his hometown of Riorad, will be able to advance to more dangerous lands by acquiring a tank. Battles are command-based, but the equipment you can use and the damage you receive will change depending on whether you fight as a human or ride a vehicle. A tank's SP is the number of armor tiles, and even if it runs out, it does not disappear immediately, and after that, there is a fear of parts failure. In addition to shopping and lodging, the town also provides ammunition replenishment, repairs, and equipment transshipment. Even if you want to carry powerful weapons, you have to fit them into the engine's carrying capacity, and the distribution of firepower and armor is a problem. While traveling, you can recruit mechanics and soldiers, search for bounty information and new vehicles, and expand your range of action at your own pace.
