How to Play Mickey's Adventures in Numberland
Quick start
Advance through the title and introduction with a controller button, then choose Normal for a first attempt. On the map, move Mickey to an available location with the D-pad and press A or START to enter. Check the magic number shown for the stage, explore to find a matching digit, and look for the phone booth exit. A jumps; hold it longer for a higher, longer leap. At the Number Machine, use the D-pad to choose the answer and A to confirm. Normal lets you retry the number problem without a limited number of guesses. If a route becomes confusing, SELECT returns to the map so you can try another available area.
Controls
D-pad Left/Right moves Mickey. A jumps, with jump height and distance affected by how long it is held. B blows bubbles only in Advanced and Super Advanced, and you need gum in your inventory to fire. START pauses/resumes during a stage. SELECT leaves the current stage for the map. On the map, choose a location with the D-pad and enter with A or START. At a Number Machine, move to the answer with the D-pad and press A to select it.
Mickey's Adventures in Numberland — About this game
Mickey's Adventure in Numberland turns a rescue mission into a gentle introduction to numbers and platform games. Pete has taken the molds used to make Numberland's numbers, and Mickey must search five locations to recover them. Each location has two stages, with a particular magic number to find before reaching the phone booth that leads to a Number Machine. There, the challenge changes from exploration to grouping, ordering, addition, or subtraction. Difficulty affects more than the enemies: Normal offers simpler routes without lost tries, while the higher settings add larger maps, bubble-gum attacks, and more demanding obstacles. Only Super Advanced makes sustained damage cost a turn. The map lets you try another available location, but Pete's hideout remains closed until the other four areas are finished. Spoken feedback and familiar Disney characters accompany the search without making it a standard combat-focused Mickey game.
