How to Play Micro Machines V4
Quick start
Choose a car and a short lap race. Learn the first few bends at moderate speed, note where the camera turns and finish a clean lap before trying battle mode or enabling weapons.
Controls
Use the DS directional steering and displayed acceleration or brake controls. If you select touch steering, turn the lower-screen wheel with the stylus while accelerating with A or up on the directional pad. Read the current item-use prompt when weapons are enabled.

Micro Machines V4 turns ordinary household spaces into toy-car courses. Compare vehicle speed, acceleration, grip and handling, then learn where a narrow path or sharp corner requires an early slowdown. Standard lap races reward finishing ahead, while battle mode makes leaving rivals behind the shared view important. Optional weapons add missiles, bombs and other hazards, but a controlled corner can be more useful than a pickup. Begin with one vehicle and a short race, watching the camera as the route bends. The DS also offers a lower-screen steering-wheel option; learn one control scheme consistently before changing it.
