How to Play Monster Band
Quick start
Choose one instrument and an easy career or practice song. Follow a few markers to learn timing, inspect the score and repeat the difficult phrase before opening freestyle or composer.
Controls
Use the DS stylus to tap the highlighted instrument areas at their timing cues. Select sounds and record or replay through the composer’s displayed controls. Learn the current keyboard, string or drum layout before switching, since the same screen position need not play the same note in another role.
Monster Band — About this game
Monster Band combines scored rhythm performances with freestyle and composition. Choose a keyboard, guitar or drum role and tap the moving markers on its instrument layout in time with the music. Career songs build a band’s progress; free play and the composer let you explore sounds and record a piece without following the same scored chart. Begin with one instrument and a short easy song, comparing missed notes before changing roles. The arrangements are instrumental game renditions, so focus on their audible beat rather than expecting the original singers to guide each cue.
