How to Play Monster Lab
Quick start
Follow the first laboratory lesson, complete its stylus task and assemble the initial monster. Enter a nearby encounter, check attack costs and repair the damaged parts after the fight.
Controls
Use the DS stylus to select ingredients, assemble parts and choose attacks or recharge commands. Trace, tap or turn the experiment control as shown; the repair activity asks you to spin its wheel to heal the selected part.
Monster Lab — About this game
Become an apprentice mad scientist, gather ingredients and turn laboratory experiments into a custom monster. The attached head, arms, torso and legs affect the creature’s attacks, so collecting another part can change more than its appearance. Turn-based fights use an energy supply: compare an attack’s cost with the need to recharge, and remember that losing the torso ends the fight. Begin with the first mentor’s experiment, follow its touch-screen motion and assemble a usable creature before exploring. After a battle, use the repair activity on damaged parts; a careful rebuild may help more than repeating the same failed attack.
