How to Play Mortal Kombat Advance
Quick start
Choose 1 Player Mortal Kombat, select a fighter, then choose Novice on the Choose Your Destiny screen for the shortest first ladder. Learn to hold R before attacking: the opponent AI is aggressive, so block a string, answer with a short punch or kick combination and use L plus Forward to close distance instead of chasing with jumps.
Controls
D-pad moves the fighter, Up jumps and Down crouches. A performs high or low kicks depending on direction; B performs high or low punches. Hold R to block. Hold L while pressing Forward to run. START pauses. Menus use D-pad, A to select and B to return; each fighter’s special moves and finishers use the combinations listed in the manual.
