How to Play MX vs. ATV Reflex
Quick start
Choose an opening solo race and an available bike or ATV. Take the first lap cautiously to learn bends and jump spacing, then repeat it with steadier braking. Attempt one trick only after you can land the ramp safely.
Controls
Steer with the DS directional controls and follow the displayed accelerator and brake assignments. Use the trick combinations only while airborne and finish before landing. Touch menus select events and vehicles; this DS version does not use console dual-analog rider control.
MX vs. ATV Reflex — About this game
Reflex on DS offers an arcade-style selection of off-road races and stunt events. Bikes and ATVs share the attraction of taking ramps at speed, but the line into a bend and a clean landing matter as much as holding the throttle. Work through available career events or pick a quick race to practise a course. Begin with an opening vehicle and learn the spacing between consecutive jumps before adding an aerial trick. Freestyle asks for scoring actions rather than merely crossing the finish first. The DS uses simplified steering and fixed courses, so the console editions' separate dual-stick rider control and deforming terrain should not be expected here. Begin with the opening instructions and practice the main interaction before pursuing optional rewards. Read the current objective, make one deliberate choice and watch its effect before repeating it. A short first session makes it easier to separate a missed instruction from a difficult challenge. Return to the available menu when you need to check progress or adjust your approach, then continue from the next clear objective.
